Dental Technology
Technology That Informs Dental Treatment
At KMA Dental, technology helps us during our appointments by giving us detailed information about your oral health. It also plays a vital role in treatment planning and helping to keep dental appointments running efficiently.
Since we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan.
Our mission is to provide patients with dental care while ensuring they are well-informed about their oral health. Contact us if you have any questions about how dental technology is used at our clinic.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums. This technology allows the parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye to be examined.
Panoramic X-Rays
A panoramic X-ray is used to capture a single image of your mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, and nasal structures. They are often used to help plan treatment for braces, dentures and dental implants.
Trios 5 Wireless Intraoral Scanners
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions of your teeth. Your dentist will use an optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. These devices allow your dentist to create digital replicas of the tissues in your mouth.
